Growing up as the daughter of an artist, I was always encouraged to pursue my passion for the arts, which resulted in first a Bachelor's, then a Master's degree in Art Education, and a decade of teaching.

 

Embracing my identity as a "hobby hopper," I enjoy exploring the process of mixed media collage. I'm drawn to a diverse selection of artistic mediums, each having their own unique qualities, and relishing the process of piecing together compositions like a puzzle. There's something satisfying about intentionally layering elements in a way that invites further inspection of the in-betweens and the underneath.

 

As an Arkansas native, with a deep reverence for Earth’s plant life, natural subjects often find their way into my work. Often serving as symbolic references, they encourage viewers to connect with the beauty and complexities of nature's wonders.
